Refund and Return Policy

Overview
We take great care in curating and describing our vintage, second-hand, and brand-new items. Because of the unique nature of our products, we operate a strict no-refund and no-return policy unless we have made an error in the listing or missed a flaw during dispatch.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.


The 7-Days Dispute Window

While we do not offer refunds for change of mind, we do allow 7 days from the date of delivery to report a listing error or undisclosed flaw. If you believe we have made a mistake, you must contact us within this timeframe.

Conditions & Condition Grading

We sell a mix of Brand New, Second Hand, and True Vintage items. Due to the age of vintage pieces, minor flaws or signs of wear are completely normal and add to the character of the item.

All items are graded according to the following scale, which will be clearly stated in the listing:

  • Excellent (90-99%): Like new condition with minimal to no signs of wear.

  • Great (80-89%): Slightly worn but in beautiful condition with only light signs of use.

  • Good (70-79%): Noticeable signs of wear consistent with age and use.

  • Heavily Used (60% or lower): Significant wear, major flaws, or heavy signs of use.

Important: We will always state any significant flaws in the description. We provide photos from multiple angles for reference, but the written description and condition grade are final.


Damages, Issues, & Dispatch Proof

We carefully inspect every item before it is dispatched to ensure it matches the listing quality. We also take a dispatch photo of the exact item being sent to you as a record of its condition when it left our studio.

If you receive a damaged product or an item that does not match the description:

  1. Do not alter the item. It must remain in the original, untouched condition.

  2. Contact us immediately at amercacheinfo@gmail.com with:

    • Your order number.

    • A photo of the issue (showing the flaw or damage).

    • A video of you unboxing the parcel (this is required for us to verify the condition upon arrival).

We will compare your unboxing video against our dispatch photo. If we confirm that we missed a flaw or sent the incorrect condition grade, we will resolve the issue (refund or return).

Important: We strictly adhere to this 7-day window. Any claims made after 7 days of arrival will not be accepted, as we cannot verify the item's condition after this period.


Definition of "Minor Imperfections" (Not Eligible for Return)
Due to the pre-loved and vintage nature of our items, the following characteristics are considered normal and acceptable, and do not qualify as a "flaw" or "damage" for a return or refund:

  • Loose or missing threads along seams, hems, or buttons that do not affect the structural integrity of the garment.

  • Slight fading, pilling, or fabric softening consistent with age and gentle wear.

  • Light creasing or wrinkles from storage (these typically resolve with steaming or ironing).

  • Faint odors commonly associated with vintage storage (e.g., attic, cedar, or mothballs). We do our best to air items out, but some faint scents may remain.

  • Slight discoloration or oxidation on metal zippers, buttons, or buckles.

  • Stitching irregularities that are original to the garment's manufacturing (common in vintage pieces).

  • Small, superficial scuffs or light scratches on leather, vinyl, or wooden accessories that do not penetrate the material.

  • Slight stretching or relaxation of the fabric that falls within our 1-3cm measurement tolerance.

Important: Any of the above conditions will always be noted in our listing if they are prominent. However, if we accidentally overlook a loose thread or a tiny spot of pilling, this does not qualify for a return, as these are inherent characteristics of vintage goods.


Definition of "Material Flaws" (Eligible for Review)
A flaw is only considered a valid listing error if it meets ALL of the following criteria:

  • It was completely omitted from the written description.

  • It significantly alters the wearability, structure, or appearance of the item (e.g., a large tear, a broken zipper that prevents closure, a permanent stain that covers a visible area, or a missing major component like a belt).

  • It is not listed above as a "Minor Imperfection."

If we confirm that we missed a Material Flaw, we will gladly resolve the issue within our 7-day window.

  • Claims made after the 7-day arrival window.

  • Minor imperfections as defined in our policy (e.g., loose threads, light pilling, faint storage odors, slight fading, or superficial scuffs).

  • Normal wear and tear inherent to vintage items.



Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items (No Refund, No Exchange)

Due to the vintage and second-hand nature of our inventory, we do not accept returns or exchanges for the following reasons:

  • Change of mind.

  • Color discrepancies (due to different monitors/lighting).

    Please remember that colors may appear differently depending on your screen settings (monitor, phone, or lighting).

  • Fit or sizing issues (we provide measurements; please check them, and model photos are for reference only).

    All measurements provided in our listings are taken flat. Due to the nature of  fabrics and hand-measuring techniques, please allow a tolerance of 1-3cm (approximately 0.5 - 1 inch) difference from the stated measurements. This is normal and does not qualify as a listing error or flaw.

    Modelling photos and mannequin images are for reference purposes only to show you how the item drapes and looks when worn. They do not guarantee the exact fit on your body, as sizing varies between brands and eras. The written measurements, condition grade, and written description are the final authority on the item. Please rely on the measurements we provide (allowing a 1-3cm tolerance) rather than how the item appears on the model.

Please note: We do not offer exchanges. If you wish to purchase a different item, you must place a new order.
